The reporting your leadership can actually trust

Femtus builds the data and reporting foundation organisations rely on to decide, and holds no software partnerships to build it with. We work across the full chain: getting data out of source systems, cleaning and structuring it, defining what should be measured, and building the reporting leadership actually uses.

Our Core Promise

What we actually fix

Most organisations do not have a reporting problem. They have a data problem that shows up as a reporting problem, and it survives every new dashboard.

One version of the truth

Departments that measure the same thing differently cannot be reconciled at board level. We agree the definitions first, then build to them.

Numbers that hold up

Reporting is only as good as the data underneath it. We fix the acquisition and processing layer rather than presenting the problem more attractively.

Decisions, not dashboards

The test of a reporting system is whether leadership acts on it. We design backwards from the decisions that need making.

Core Services

How we work across the chain

Five stages, one outcome. Most engagements start at whichever stage is broken and extend from there.

01

Data Acquisition & Preparation

Getting data out of the systems it is trapped in, then cleaning and structuring it so it can be relied on.

  • Source System Extraction
  • Data Cleaning & Structuring
  • Repeatable Data Flows
02

Analysis & Performance Intelligence

Turning structured data into insight: trend analysis, variance, and the metrics that actually explain performance.

  • Data Analysis
  • KPI Architecture
  • Performance Frameworks
03

Management Reporting & Decision Support

Financial, operational, and delivery data brought into one view that leadership can act on.

  • Executive Reporting
  • Single Source of Truth
  • Decision Frameworks
04

Reporting Automation

Replacing manual reporting cycles with automated workflows, including AI where it genuinely reduces effort rather than adding novelty.

  • Workflow Automation
  • Data Reliability
  • Automated Data Handling
05

Project Controls

Cost, schedule, and delivery oversight for capital projects and programmes, with the reporting that makes it visible.

  • Cost & Schedule Visibility
  • Earned Value Monitoring
  • Delivery Oversight

What has Femtus built?

Three engagements, described by the situation, what we built, and the change it made.

Mega Project Oversight

Infrastructure Delivery

Leadership needed executive oversight of cost, progress, and risk across a large-scale infrastructure portfolio. We designed and implemented project controlling systems to support it.

Outcome: Clearer visibility into cost, progress, and risk, and more confident delivery decisions.
Service Operations

Enterprise Healthcare

Clinical operations teams needed a single view of their fragmented reporting. We built reporting and operational-insight systems that consolidated it into one management view.

Outcome: Faster identification of bottlenecks and better resource decisions.
Decision Acceleration

C-Suite Intelligence

The board needed operational KPIs connected to financial realities in one place. We built automated management reporting environments for board-level reporting.

Outcome: Faster, better-informed management decisions.
Common Pain Points

Why Organizations Choose Us

We understand the executive challenges that slow down performance and create decision uncertainty.

  • Two departments report the same metric and the numbers do not match.
  • The monthly reporting cycle consumes days of skilled time.
  • Leadership asks a simple question and nobody can answer it quickly.
  • Decisions wait on numbers nobody fully trusts.
  • A reporting or analytics tool was bought and the underlying problem remains.
  • A capital programme needs cost and schedule visibility leadership can rely on.
“A dashboard built on data nobody trusts is a faster way to be unsure.”
Competitive Advantage

Intelligence vs. Reporting

We don't build generic dashboards. We design and build performance intelligence systems that deliver clear, reliable insight.

Generic Dashboards

  • Disconnected spreadsheets & isolated tools
  • Inconsistent, contradictory metrics
  • Lagging indicators & manual delays
  • Illusion of control, limited actual visibility
  • Advice without follow-through

The Femtus Paradigm

  • Unified performance intelligence framework
  • Standardized, consistent KPI frameworks
  • Automated, reliable reporting workflows
  • Clear, decision-ready management insight
  • We design and build the systems

We sell no software

Femtus holds no vendor partnerships and takes no licence commissions. That means the recommendation is the product. If your problem is solved in a spreadsheet, we will tell you. If it needs a platform or something built for you, we have no reason to prefer one over another. More than six years of engagements, most of them long-term.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does Femtus do?

Femtus builds the data and reporting foundation organisations rely on to make decisions. We work across the full chain: getting the data out of source systems, cleaning and structuring it, defining what should be measured, and building the reporting leadership actually uses.

Who is Femtus for?

Femtus works with organisations in the UK, USA, and Europe whose leadership cannot fully trust the numbers they are given: departments that measure the same thing differently, reporting cycles that take days to produce, and decisions that wait on data nobody is confident in.

Which tools and platforms does Femtus work with?

Femtus works across spreadsheets, business intelligence platforms, and purpose-built software, chosen to fit the problem rather than a house preference. We hold no software partnerships and take no licence commissions, so the recommendation is never shaped by what we sell, because we sell no software at all.

How is Femtus different from a business intelligence partner?

A business intelligence partner is paid to set up a platform. Femtus is paid to solve the reporting problem, and has no stake in which platform, if any, that requires. We fix the data underneath first, because a dashboard built on unreliable data fails regardless of which tool shows it.

Where does Femtus operate?

Femtus Solutions Limited is registered in London and serves clients across the United Kingdom, the United States, and Europe. Engagements are senior-led and delivered remotely or on-site, depending on what the engagement requires, with most relationships continuing over multiple years rather than a single project.

Should I solve this internally, hire a software partner, or engage Femtus?

Building internally works when your team already has the time and skills to own it, and many organisations should just do that. A software partner is right when you already know which platform you need and just need it configured. Femtus is worth engaging when the problem is the data underneath, not the platform on top, or when you are not yet sure which platform, if any, is the answer.

How long before an engagement shows results?

Every engagement starts with a defined scope agreed up front, and is structured to produce something usable early rather than requiring a long build before anything is visible. We would rather show you something real early and adjust it than ask you to wait for a finished system before you see any value.

What happens when the engagement ends?

Most Femtus engagements are long-term, and clients own everything that is built: the definitions, the reporting logic, and the documentation behind it. There is no lock-in. If the relationship ends, what was built keeps working, because it was built from the start to be run without us.
